Rosa Stolper
Postdoctoral Researcher
Rosa is a postdoctoral researcher working on Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), which can be caused by mutations in NIPBL. Using a variety of molecular biology methods, such as Cut&Tag and GAM, she is investigating what happens to cells that make insufficient NIPBL due to mutations. Currently, she is focussing on heart development and trying to understand when and why heart defects occur in CdLS.
Previously, she completed her DPhil in the lab of Prof. Doug Higgs at the WIMM, working on CTCF and the importance of enhancer-promoter interactions for gene expression at the alpha-globin locus.
