I am a DPhil student in the endometriosis research group. My main research interest is in the comorbidity of endometriosis with immunological disorders.

Endometriosis is a common chronic disorder with its aetiology largely under-explored, yet a hypothesis was formed that women affected by endometriosis have an immunity-associated disorder, but the quality of existing evidence for such an association is low. Hence, I am utilising the comprehensive data collected from the 270,000 UK women (UK Biobank) to understand the association between endometriosis and immunological diseases, as well as the potential shared biological/genetic basis. We anticipate this work will improve our understanding of the pathogenesis of endometriosis and immunological diseases and may contribute to the identification of novel therapeutic target opportunities or diagnosis potential for endometriosis. My work is being jointly supervised by Professor Krina ZondervanDr Nilufer Rahmioglu, and Professor Christian Becker.
