Work summary

I am currently studying the population genetics of the platypus, using whole-genome sequence (WGS) data to learn about demographic history, recombination and selection. I am also working on aspects of the WGS500 project, a large medical sequencing project at the Centre, focusing on some Mendelian neurological diseases, particularly early infantile epilepsies. 

Before coming to Oxford, I worked at various times on miRNA targeting, the evolution of gene regulation in yeast, and the effects of the environment on human gene expression.
