I am a specialty trainee doctor in obstetrics and gynaecology at NHS England and a DPhil candidate at the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health, John Radcliffe Hospital. I received my medical degree from University of Bristol in 2013, with a BSc (Hons) Medical Physics & Bioengineering from University College London (one-year intercalated degree).
I pursued my MSc Clinical Embryology in October 2015 at University of Oxford with two merit scholarships to explore my interests in reproductive sciences and research, with the view of pursuing a clinical academic career in either Obstetrics & Gynaecology or Reproductive Endocrinology. During my MSc, I had the fantastic opportunity to work with the Oxford Endometriosis CaRe Centre where I researched on exosomes and endometriosis and co-presented the work at the 13th World Congress on Endometriosis in Vancouver in May 2017.This became the basis of my DPhil work and I have since given an oral presentation at the 34th European Society of Human Reproduction & Embryology Annual Meeting in Barcelona in 2018 as well as the 14th World Congress on Endometriosis (held virtually) this year. I have also published an initial pilot study on endometriosis and exosomes in Fertility & Sterility which can be found in the list of my publications. My supervisors are Associate Professor Christian Becker, Dr Thomas Tapmeier, and Dr Kavita Subramaniam.
