How to get to us

Bicycle

The Centre has many cycle racks outside the main entrance and there are others around the Old Road Campus. Bike routes from central Oxford and the main Science Area can be found on this map. A map of Oxford's cycle network is available from Oxfordshire County Council.

Train

The Centre is three miles from the mainline station at Oxford, which has frequent trains to London (Paddington). Allow 15 minutes by taxi from the station forecourt. Travelling by bus, take the No 4 from stop R7 which is located outside the station in Frideswide Square. The Number 4 stops at Gipsy Lane and then outside Nuffield Orthapaedic Centre; see bus stop locations on the Old Road Campus map. It is then a short walk down Roosevelt Drive (or Churchill Drive/Roosevelt Drive) to the Centre.

Coach from London

The Oxford Express and the Oxford Tube operate 24 hours a day to and from Central London, stopping on London Road, Headington at the stop known variously as Headington School, Brookes University or Gypsy Lane.

Air

The Oxford Bus Company provides a transfer service from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports, stopping on London Road, Headington at the stop known variously as Headington School, Brookes University or Gypsy Lane.

Bus

A regular bus service is available from Oxford City Centre on route 4; For more information contact the Oxford Bus Company.

Car

GPS co-ordinates are Lat 51.7526, Lon -1.2151. Please note that despite our efforts to correct them, internet maps based on our postcode are incorrect.

Parking is very restricted; there are pay and display car parks in Headington (see Headington map) 15 minutes' walk away. In exceptional circumstances, your host at the Centre may be able to arrange a visitor's permit but this cannot be guaranteed.

Park and Ride

Park and Ride services run from the Thornhill Park & Ride car park (bus route 900), one mile east of Headington on the A40, and the Water Eaton Park & Ride car park (bus route 700), which can be accessed from the A34, A40 and A4260 and is located next to the new Oxford Parkway rail station. The closest bus stops to the Centre are marked on the campus map.
