Peter Donnelly leads research on the development and application of statistical methods for understanding how genetic variation contributes to our susceptibility to a wide range of diseases. The aim to extract as much information as possible from the very large sets of data currently being generated through mapping associations between genes and disease in thousands of people, and through sequencing whole genomes.
