Tara Mills
DPhil Student
I completed my undergraduate degree in genetics at the University of Edinburgh, and then joined the Adrian Hill group as a Research Assistant. After a year of working heavily with our many sample collections, I began my DPhil in the group. I still work very closely with our sample collections but am now able to do more research and analysis. The main focus of my current research is aiming to identify host genetic factors predisposing Europeans to lower respiratory tract infections as a part of the EU fp6 GRACE project. I have also been working on genetic susceptibility to sepsis using a genome-wide association approach.
