I joined Dr. Dianne Newbury's group in January 2013. I support the team's research efforts in determining the genetic basis of specific language impairments (SLI).

During my previous research projects I have investigated whether genetic mutations might increase the likelihood of multiple ovulations in the Thoroughbred mare, or lead to the variation in adult height exhibited by the four sections of Welsh Cob.

As part of the Newbury group I now investigate the genetic contributions to SLI. I am particularly interested in SLI because it is a polygenic disorder that encompasses a variety of language and developmental problems.
