To fully exploit available technologies for data generation and to interpret that data, the Oxford Genomics Centre are continually striving to improve the quality and breadth of support it offers.
Dedicated R&D projects are run in both the HTG and BSG groups with efforts focused on addressing the triad of drivers for users: quality, cost and speed.
The Oxford Genomics Centre actively support projects that push the technology in hitherto unforeseen avenues providing funding through the NDM/WTCHG Audacious Experiment fund.
Collaborations are also undertaken where we combine our technical expertise and understanding of the capabilities of the technology with ideas from scientists with the need to challenge the existing boundaries of what is currently supported.
Some of the key projects currently in play are listed on this site along with scope, progress and future plans.
