Illumina HiSeq 2000/2500

HiSeq

The HiSeq 2000 is a short read system that uses a massively parallel sequencing-by-synthesis approach to generate billions of bases of high-quality sequence data per run. It delivers much greater yields than the Illumina GAIIX due to the improved flow cell, hardware design and the ability to run two flow cells independently and simultaneously. With paired-end sequencing, selectable read lengths of 50bp or 100bp, and multiplexing, this technology can be used for a wide variety of applications such as whole genome sequencing, ChIP-Sequencing, and RNA profiling.

Illumina cBot

cbotThe cBot system automates the process of cluster amplification on the HiSeq 2000 flow cell.

The use of ready-to-apply  consumables makes cluster amplification much simpler and more consistent.

Illumina MiSeq

The MiSeq system is an integrated bench top platform that carries out the cluster amplification and sequencing of the flow cell. It is designed to take advantage of recent advances in Illumina's sequencing chemistry which includes significantly faster cycle times to complete smaller projects in a fraction of the standard time and cost. This system encompasses paired-end sequencing and read lengths of up to 150bp and is of particular interest for experiments such as amplicon sequencing or small genome sequencing.MiSeq2
