Karene Argoud

Research Assistant

 

Karene graduated from both France (I.U.T. de Clermont-Ferrand) and England (The Nottingham Trent University) with a D.U.T. and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She joined the Diabetes Genetics Group of Prof D. Gauguier at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics in 2001, where she gained a wide range of skills, including valuable experience in genotyping, gene expression and microarray technologies. Here, she also had the opportunity to complete a M.Sc. in Genetics of Diabetic Complications at the University of Oxford.

Karene joined the High-Throughput Genomics Group in January 2011, where she is currently responsible for preparing a variety of libraries to be sequenced on the Illumina HiSeq2000 and MiSeq platforms.
