Our paper "Statistical Inference for Hidden Markov Models with k-segment constraints" with Michalis Titsias and Chris Holmes has been accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Statistical Association as a Theory and Methods paper.

New postdoctoral position open in my group in Big Data for Single Cell Genomics. The position would suit someone who has an interest in applying state of the art machine learning techniques to single cell biology. We have been officially awarded an Oxford-Stanford Big Data in Human Health Seed Grant. Our project will examine novel statistical modelling approaches for tackling single cell genomics data. We will be looking forward to working with Dr Michael Osborne, Quin Wills, Anna GloynProf Mark McCarthy and Prof Stephen Quake on this project.
