Microscope User's Forum
Dear WTCHG Microscopy Core User,
We have been advised by Molecular Cytogenetics and Microscopy Core Advisory Committee (chaired by Prof. Yvonne Jones) to set up a Microscope Users Forum. This is an informal round-table meeting held once a year with both the Microscope Users (current and prospective) and Core Staff discussing possible improvements and developments within the WTCHG Microscopy Core.
We held the first forum meeting on Wednesday 11th November 2009 at 11.15 am in Room A. The meeting started with Keith giving a ten minute introduction to our currently available Microscopy Core facilities, with particular regard to the new confocal live cell imaging set-up. It was followed by a brief questionnaire asking for your views on the Microscopy Core, and then an open discussion on whether the current service and facilities satisfy your research needs, and in which direction you would like to see the Microscopy Core develop.
