Research areas:
I am interested in the identification of genetic loci influencing complex traits like anxiety and depression. For this purpose I am using outbred mice as model organism to conduct genome wide association studies (GWAS). These animals, maintained in large population size, provide an ideal resource for genetic mapping because of their low linkage disequilibrium (LD) and relative genetic homogeneity.
Research interests:
Neurogenetics, bioinformatics
Keywords:
Genetics, complex traits, anxiety and depression, outbred mice.
