Geraldine joined the group in 2012 as a Senior Research Associate in Statistical Genetics. Her research involves the development and application of statistical methods for the analysis of human population genetic data. She is currently working on the methods and applications for the analysis of DNA sequence data on the X chromosome.

Geraldine completed an MSc in Epidemiology and a PhD in Statistics at Stanford University, USA. In 2004, she joined the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics as a postdoctoral researcher, working firstly on studies of linkage disequilibrium as part of the HapMap project and later on a variety of genome-wide and candidate gene studies as a member of the Genetic and Genomic Epidemiology Group.
