Research summary 

My work within the Nanogenomics group is to develop sequencing biochemistries and experimental methods for visualising, manipulating and carrying out experiments on long DNA molecules, with the aim to develop third generation DNA sequencing technologies where analysis is at the single molecule level. I am also interested in Nano-scale science and Nanotechnology, Surface Chemistry/Characterization, Microscopy (Fluorescence, AFM/STM), and Single Molecule measurements.
