Wow! How?
Saturday March 10th - Wow! How? We have been invited to join the Oxford University Museum of Natural History for their 'Wow! How?!' event. This family science fair fills the museum with stalls, where volunteers show off their favourite science experiment or phenomenon. There are also opportunities to make science toys or see demonstrations and lectures. In 2006, nearly 2000 people attended, while 50 volunteers ran 22 experiments and gave four lectures. In 2007, the WTCHG is joining in with a stall entitled 'How unique are you?' Find out how genetically unique you are and enter your Uniqueness Score onto our Uniqueness Database. Learn how the shape of your ears and whether you can roll your tongue helps scientists understand DNA. Discover exactly where the gene for smelling freesias is in your body. Make a length of DNA origami to add to our Origami Gene.
